Hello Visitors of BBB! Lately I have been pressed with the subject of modesty. Those of you who know me, I have been seen with clothes that revel [low cut shirts] and hug the body [skinny jeans]. Also, holding myself in a boyish fashion, not thinking about how I'm affecting my witness to those around me. When I looked up "modesty" in the dictionary, I found this: modest [adjective]: having a modest estimate of oneself 2: observing the proprieties of dress and behavior.
A woman should have a spirit of Godly-grace. Also, a woman should have the decency, holding on to her virtue, and setting a standard for herself in conduct and in apperance.
1 Timonthy 2: 9-10 I also want women to dress modestly, with shamefaceedness and propriety, not with braided hair or gold or pearls or expensive clothes, but with good deeds, appropriate for women who profess to worship God.
When people look at you, there should be no doubt that you are a Christian young lady, not only in the way you dress, but most importantly, what's in your heart. Not being daring and dauntless but having a modest attitude.
Proverbs 11: 22 As a jewel of gold in a pig's snout is a beautiful woman who shows no discretion.
